Could YOU Have a (Spiritual) Cone on Your Head? I sure have before! Poor Pumbaa. He had surgery to remove a benign tumor two weeks ago. He has hobbled around on his bandaged leg for days, and he has been heeling quite nicely. Yesterday, I took him to the vet to have his staples removed. The little guy had staples all the way from his paw to his shoulders. When they brought him out to me, I was quite shocked to {Read More}
3 Blessings in Disguise of a Rainy Tropical Vacation
So we arrived in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, midday Friday after departing LAX at 1:00 a.m. Excited but exhausted from flying all night, we hopped in a van for the 45-minute ride to our destination, Casa de Campo in La Romana. Just. In. Time. For. A TROPICAL DEPRESSION! That was three days ago, and we’ve yet to step foot on the beach. Robin and I are Facebook friends, so I was aware that she has a 22-year-old niece who was diagnosed with Leukemia a few weeks ago. Reagan is currently undergoing her first of four rounds {Read More}
Dots + Stripes Style
Are you adventurous when it comes to your wardrobe? For some reason, I am always drawn toward trends that mix colors and patterns in unexpected ways. Last week at The Hundred blog conference in Dallas, I had an unanticipated (but greatly appreciated!) opportunity for a headshot and fashion photo shoot for my blog. Thank you to my friend Lupita Martinez of Images Of Rain Photography! This polka-dot/stripe combo is what I wore to the love farewell brunch at the historic {Read More}
They’ve Left the Nest Again!
It’s official. After a summer with Trevor and his fiance, Rachel, in our new California home, we are Tabler Party of Two once again. They pulled out just moments ago after lots of hugs and selfies with us and the dogs. And, of course, prayers for protection as they drive for two long days back to Texas. It’s a bittersweet day. Bitter because it marks the last time any Tabler children will live under our roof for an extended amount {Read More}
