Just in time for the Coachella music festival… a really easy DIY floral crown!
The festival season has arrived in the desert, and we are all set with VIP tickets for week two of Coachella! It’s the one time of year this 50 something girl can get away with a cute flower crown. Last year, I bought a couple. But this year, daughter-in-law Shandi is here (with our son Patrick, of course!), and we decided to make our own.
We had some serious girl time crafting it up. And just as much fun taking pretty pics of our finished crowns.
SUPPLIES
-Silk flowers with your favorite colors
–Floral wire
–Floral tape
–Wire cutters
–Glue gun and glue
DIRECTIONS
1-Measure the diameter of your head where you would like it to rest.
2-Add another inch or two to the measurement and cut three strands of wire to that length.
3-Holding the three ends together, begin to braid the three wires together.
4-Finish braiding the wire all the way to the end.
5-Remeasure the crown on your head and cut in the correct spot.
6-Wrap floral tape around the wire. (This gives stability and makes gluing flowers easier).
7-Intertwine the two ends of the braid.
8-Glue flowers around one side or all the way around the crown.
9-That’s it! You’ve now created a darling floral crown.
Aren’t they cute? Now we’re off to Coachella!
