I love spring decorating! Don’t you? I always look for ways to bring the outside indoors. You can make this darling, floral garland backdrop in less than an hour, and it screams SPRING IS HERE!
Isn’t it a darling way to add a touch of spring color and celebrate the new season?
There are so many uses for this floral backdrop. It looks so cute hanging on the living room wall. But it would be equally charming as backdrop for photos at a wedding or party.
Best of all, you need just a few simple supplies and steps to make this little DIY project.
SUPPLIES:
-A long stick
-Silk flowers
-Twine, yarn, or thread
-Felt sheet
-Glue gun
-Scissors
INSTRUCTIONS:
Step One: Cut twine or string to the length of you that will look best for your where you plan to use it. (Mine are about 52 inches long).
Step Two: Cut felt into small squares to cover the base of the back flower.
Step Three: Glue flowers to string and then glue felt square on the back of each flower so that the twine is in between the felt and back of flower.
Step Three: Once all flowers are glued on all of your strings, tie the strings (spaced evenly apart) to your stick.
And just like that… a statement piece for your home or event!
Here are a couple of other floral garland backdrop ideas. (I couldn’t resist hopping onto Pinterest to see other creative, floral wallhangings!)
I love this pretty wallhanging from The Kitchy Kitchen… it looks amazing on the white brick wall!
This one from Free People was made with real greenery to be used as a wedding backdrop. So lovely and natural!

Andrea this is absolutely adorable. It is such a simple and yet effective way to dress up your wall and it is singing Spring to me. The use of the twine makes it all the more rustic! I’m hosting a link party and would love it if you would join me over at Sweet Inspiration.
Thank you, Mary! So glad you stopped by!
So cute!! I am loving this idea for my spring garden party. Or as a substitute curtain for a spring window!
