Copycat Sweet Leaf Mint and Honey Iced Green Tea is yummy, yummy, yummy!
I’m a huge fan of Sweet Leaf Organic Mint & Honey Green Tea. Love, love, love. But I rarely indulge in that little bottle of goodness because it’s full of sugar. This week I decided to make my own version of Mint and Honey Iced Green Tea, less expensive and sugar free! It turned out wonderful. So wonderful that I drank half of what I made while writing this blog post! So if you are as big a fan as I am, you might double the recipe.
This will be the perfect daily beverage during the long, hot days of summer. Plus, it’s really, really good for you! Green tea many benefits include preventing depression, heart disease, high blood pressure, Alzheimer’s and more. Mint has many health benefits as well, including relieving headaches and aiding digestion and oral health. Honey alleviates allergies, increases energy and boosts memory. Can’t complain about all the benefits of those three main ingredients!
To make this simple recipe, all you need is green tea, mint, honey, and stevia. After brewing your green tea, muddle the mint, then add it and the other ingredients to the tea.
- 6 cups of water

- 2 tablespoons honey
- Stevia to taste
- Bring water to boil and brew the green tea.
- Muddle the mint in a bit of tea.
- Add mint, honey, and stevia to the brewed tea.
- Serve over ice.

I love that flavor combination. When I don’t have fresh mint I use a couple of drops of mint extract, the all natural kind. It really helps me feel better when my tummy is unhappy too.
I’ve heard the term “muddle” before. But I’m not sure what it means.
You use a “muddler” or you can use a spoon. You basically try to break down the fibers of a fruit or herb to release its flavor!
Love this recipe Andrea. Have a great week.
Fresh is always best. I wish I wasn’t allergic to honey, this looks so fantastic and refreshing my friend xo
