New on My Bucket List: A Northern Lights Norway Cruise

When Tom and I first became empty nesters, we decided that we wanted adventure in our everyday lives as well as on special vacations. I’m usually a beach and sunshine kind of girl, but I just added a surprising entry to my bucket list: take a Norway cruise to see the Northern Lights. Yes, I’m ready to trade my swimsuit and suntan lotion for a warm jacket and gloves for the opportunity to experience the Aurora Borealis! That sounds like a real adventure!

I can’t wait to see the snowy Norwegian shoreline, take a snowmobile trip in the polar night, witness icebergs towering out of the water, and simply enjoy the culture and the people of Norway. Because my maternal grandmother’s ancestors are from Norway, I’ve always been fascinated by the country and its people.
