I have found my new go-to dessert for entertaining. Easy to make? The simplest… five minutes, tops. Impressive to guests? Yup. Delicious? Check. In fact, Tom officially named it as his favorite dessert I’ve ever made.
I’m talking about layers of brownie, caramel, whipped cream, mini chips and chocolate syrup. Yum!
I adapted this from a similar dessert over at Crazy Little Projects, where she made everything from scratch (and I imagine it’s quite amazing!). I, on the other hand, didn’t have the time — nor patience — to do that. So my version has nothing homemade. But hey, did I mention Tom named it as his FAVORITE DESSERT I’ve EVER made??? So I think the substituting worked fine! The amazing secret ingredient is the Torani Caramel Sauce. That and the sea salt.
I love making individual trifles instead of one large one. They’re cuter, and I waste less.
- Torani Caramel Sauce
- Hershey Chocolate Syrup
- Cool Whip (thawed)
- Brownie Bites (from grocery store bakery, or make your own)
- Hershey Mini Chocolate Chips
- Sea Salt
- For each individual trifle, layer brownie, chocolate syrup, Cool Whip, then caramel.
- Repeat.
- Top with mini chocolate chips and a sprinkle of salt.
That’s all there is to it, friends! Salted Caramel Brownie Trifle. Simply delish!!!
