Always looking for a family-pleasing, super simple dinner idea? It doesn’t get easier than this Skillet Lasagna recipe!
A couple of weeks ago, I shared a recipe for Spicy Mozzarella-Stuffed Meatballs I created using one of Mezzetta’s new Napa Valley Homemade Pasta Sauces. I completely fell in love with the Spicy Marinara sauce, so I decided to try another flavor! This time I used the Tomato and Sweet Basil sauce, and (like the other) it really rivals a sauce made from scratch!
This Napa Valley Pasta Sauce is made from all natural ingredients… not a single chemical or word I can’t pronounce. Plus it has no added sugar, so it’s Paleo friendly!
This here dinner is whatcha call pure comfort food (which I rarely cook for us!), so Tom was in heaven. I even made him french bread to go along with it! Here’s how you make this Unbelievably Simple Skillet Lasagna:
- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 1 cup onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 24 oz Mezzetta Tomato & Sweet Basil Pasta Sauce
- 1½ cups beef stock
- 3/4 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- 2 (9 oz) packages refrigerated ravioli (I used Spinach Artichoke!)
- In a large skillet, brown Italian sausage, onions and garlic over medium high heat. Cook until onions are soft and sausage is no longer pink.
- Stir in pasta sauce, ravioli, and beef stock, pushing as much of the ravioli beneath the sauce as you can.
- Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes, until the pasta is cooked.
- Top with mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
- Heat until melted.
- Serve immediately.
