The California desert is such an amazingly beautiful place to live! The chocolate brown mountains frame our little valley. The skies are blue, the temperatures warm. The predominant style here is casual and comfy. One day recently, it was actually cool enough to break out my fave find this winter, this Betsey Johnson faux fur vest I picked up for half its original price at Marshalls (similar here and here).
We headed to Keedy’s Fountain Grill (a real blast from the past!), the greasiest breakfast spot in Palm Desert. I wore a simple, black, long-sleeve t-shirt under the vest and my Free People cropped jeans (similar here).
I have really loved my Kenneth Cole Reaction slip-on leopard sneakers this year. They are really comfortable and go with so many outfits!
Ha! I think it was a little windy that day!
My red, Madeline Lily Jade tote gave this outfit the perfect pop of color! I have never loved a bag like I do this one. All the pockets have upped my handbag organization by, oh, maybe 1,000%! I’ve taken it on two trips, including to Texas last week, and the backpack option makes traveling a breeze.
Despite a few near losses, I’ve managed to hang on to my prized Maui Jim sunglasses I got last summer in the Dominican Republic. I absolutely love them!
